How Can We Let God Express Freely Through Us?
by Neale Walsch
Hi Neale….. I have read all of your books and have enjoyed them very much. Its wonderful that you have been experiencing the relationship with God that you have been for the last several years. I understand that God wrote your books through you.
My question is, how can people put themselves into a position where God can express freely through them?
For instance, how can a painter open up to let God paint through him, or a doctor open up to let God treat/heal through her…you get the idea. Basically, how can we eliminate all of the seeming negativity and blocks and allow for Gods magnificence to flow unimpeded through us (as you have done)?
Imagine the world we could live in if we all knew how to do this, and actually did it!
Dear Lynn…..Yes, indeed, imagine that. Now I will tell you, Lynn, a great secret. People do not have to put themselves into a position where God can express freely through them. And why not? Because people are already in that position. Most people simply don’t know it. How can they know it? Easy. I am telling it to them. How can they believe it? Easy. By choosing to.
Lynn, what the world needs now is a new belief system. A system that allows them to know that they and God are One, not the current belief system which insists that God is out there somewhere and we are down here desperately trying make a connection. We don’t have to do anything to make the connection, Lynn, because the connection is already made. It has never been severed. And what God has joined together, let no man put asunder.
So, what I am saying, my friend, is that, as you enter into any endeavor–painting a picture or healing a neighbor–simply know that God is always with you, that you are the Localized Energy of God, working its wonders in, as and through the being call You.
Gratitude is the tool that I use, Lynn. Gratitude. It helps me to reestablish as my inner truth the outer reality I wish to experience. And so I say, before every writing, Thank you, God, for being with me as I write these words. Thank you, God, for writing them with me. Thank you for being an ever-present Source in my life. Thank you, God! Thanks, and thanks again. You have made my life so happy, so wealthy with wonder, so perfect and so complete in expression of the wonder of You. Thank you, God. Thanks, and thanks again.
Another very powerful prayer that I often say, Lynn–I have quoted it here so often that I am sure my regular readers are already way ahead of me now–is this little one sentence stand-the-Universe-on-its-ear statement of gratitude:
Thank you, God, for helping me to understand that this problem has already been solved for me.
And that is how, Lynn, that we can, as you put it, eliminate all of the seeming negativity and blocks and allow for Gods magnificence to flow unimpeded through us.
